2. ICA Program in partnership with Corporación de Capacitación y Empleo ( SOFOFA), sponsored by Servicio de Capacitación y Empleo de Chile.

This programme was developed during 2003 to 2005 through different courses. Each of them had 24 participants and took 30 hours. The participants were handicapped people and/or people that were somehow related to the world of the handicapped. All of them were unemployed. The courses delivered were:

  • Tools to Facilitate an Action Plan and its implementation. It's a powerful process that includes planning and implementation and will lead a group quickly to an effective plan, to organise the resources at hand and stimulate the energies of each individual towards the necessary activities that will lead them into achieving their goal. It motivates strategic thinking in view of the near future, all of which helps the participants to build a work or life project. The group is able to visualise a successful future. It creates a practical and realistic plan, besides motivating commitment and self-involvement in each and every one of them.
  • Tools to Facilitate Leadership. We taught them Focused Conversation Method. This is a structured process that will give our participants the tools to plan and facilitate the exchange of ideas and commitment in a group when it has to deal with meaningful and difficult topics. This process enhances effectively almost all types of group communications. It promotes leadership at meetings and discussions around a clear topic. It's able to get the best of the wisdom of a group. New ideas and answers seem to bloom rapidly. The process allows participants to ask all kinds of questions that stimulate sincere and deep discussions and feedback
    We also taught them the Consensus Workshop Method. This is a process that includes active solution of problems through building participation and teamwork. Channels productively different perspectives that exist within every group and motivates it to take, through consensus, well-informed decisions on topics that concern them all. It helps the group to achieve new levels of creativity and collaboration.
